It is important to realize that we have a responsibility to accept or reject God's Destiny for us. When we accept the gift God offers, it is called "salvation." It is putting our trust and faith in a person, God's Son, Jesus Christ. The steps we take to start our new Destiny are:

1. Ask God to forgive you for all your wrongs and misdeeds. This in the Bible is called repentance from sin.
2. Thank Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins and offering of the gifts of forgiveness, faith, hope, and love.
3. Say, "Yes!" to Jesus, and accept His gifts and invite Him to live within you by His Spirit.

If you want this relationship with God, all you have to do is say a simple prayer:

"Lord Jesus Christ, please forgive me for the things I have done wrong. (You may want to verbalize what is in your mind right now). I now turn from my old thoughts and my wrong ways. Thank You for dying on the Cross for me so that I can now be free of sin to walk my true Destiny. Thank You for Your gift of forgiveness and the gift of Your Spirit. Come into my life, take over, and lead me by Your Spirit. Thank You that from now on You will be with me forever. Amen"

Now...

1. Tell someone whom you think will understand how important the decision is that you have made.
2. Read God's Word, called the Bible.
3. Speak to God each day. This is called prayer. Always praise Him for who He is and what He has done. Ask Him for forgiveness for any wrongs you have committed that day. Thank Him for all His gifts to you. Pray for your walk with Him and pray for others.
4. Attend a gathering of fellow followers of Christ who worship God and hear what God is saying by learning more about the Bible together. This is called community. Encouragement and friendship come this way.
